About Meleece
Meleece Orme writes middle grade and young adult fantasy where wonder lives right alongside the weird—and where neurodivergent characters get to be the heroes. Her stories are character-driven, emotionally honest, and a little bit spooky (in the best way): fierce friendships, high-stakes choices, and the kind of magic that feels as real as the weather.
She has previously published locally, including Water Stories: A Memoir Anthology, a collection of reflective narratives shaped by water, memory, and place.
Meleece is currently at work on Demon Boy, a middle grade fantasy set in Brantree Hollow, where a demon boy named Jack and a stubborn fairy girl named Feya discover that the old stories about enemies—and “conquering”—might be wrong.
What I write
- Fantasy with vivid settings and grounded emotional stakes
- Character forward stories with momentum and mystery
- Wonder, grit, and heart – sometimes in the same scene
